Helios were contacted by the Asset Manager of the UK’s largest Solar Carport array situated at Bentley Motors manufacturing facility in Crewe. 2.7MW–or 10,000 panels to be precise, over 27 Carports.

There were several issues that faced Helios, the main ones being the presence of high voltage power lines over parts of the array, the mounting panel mounting frame was raised meaning that our robot could only go up and down the panels rather than side to side, there was only 4 days to complete the job – and there were one or two rather expensive cars beneath where we were working.3,334 opportunities in 4 days to make a very costly mistake.
